Originally Halloween was a Celtic festival for celebrate the end of the harvest. It was celebrate on Ireland where it was named Samhain. It was arrived on USA on 1840 when a lot of irish arrived there because it was a devasting famine in their country.
The children dress up us goblin, vampire, gosth or witches, and then they go out and knocking at door´s houses asking people for trick-or-treat, and then the person who is at home give them some Candys.
The vegetable which is simbol of this festival are the pumpkins and in this festival are named "jack-o-latern".
